HJS STUDIOS (formed in 2013) is owned, and operated by Henry J. Smith. A graduate from Ithaca College, in 2005, with a Creative Writing and Art degree, Henry, is foremost a storyteller.
Turning his attention and passion towards the art of film making in 2008- starting off with a camera, a light, and editing software, Henry, learned by doing, making mistakes, and adjusting.
Henry has past experiences as a editor's apprentice at Creative Chaos, based out of Brooklyn, NY, and a freelance position at MTV VIACOM offices in Times Square as a video encoder.
He has freelanced as a camera operator and editor for major wedding companies in the Hudson Valley, working on hundreds of weddings. And has booked clients of his own, offering wedding video services.
Having produced, filmed, and edited a documentary, The Purple Wave: Forever a Ghost, the story about Warwick Valley High School Cross Country/Running program, Henry is always creating ideas, and working on new projects.
With experience as a writer, producer, director, camera operator, and editor, Henry formed HJS STUDIOS in order to provide personalized/creative film solutions for an array of projects/clients-from pre-production to distribution.
