ABOUT HJS STUDIOS
HJS STUDIOS (formed in 2013) is owned, and operated by Henry J. Smith. A proud graduate of Ithaca College, with a Creative Writing and Art degree, Henry, is foremost a storyteller.
Turning his attention to the art of film making in 2008, starting off with a camera, some lighting equipment, and editing software, Henry, learned by doing, adjusting, and developing his skills as a photographer and videographer.
Henry has past experiences as an editor's apprentice at Creative Chaos, video encoder at MTV VIACOM, Post Production Assistant for the show City on a Hill on Showtime, and currently works as an Editor Room Assistant for the hit reality television show, The First 48.
He has freelanced as a camera operator and editor for major wedding companies in the Hudson Valley, filming and editing hundreds of weddings, while simultaneously booking clients of his own.
Having produced, filmed, and edited a documentary, The Purple Wave: Forever a Ghost, the story about Warwick Valley High School Cross Country/Running program-Henry is always in the process of creating ideas, while working on new projects.
With experience as a writer, producer, director, camera operator, and editor, Henry formed HJS STUDIOS in order to provide personalized/creative video solutions for an array of projects/clients-from pre-production to distribution.
